I cried when I first read ‘Rainbow Bridge’. I was only in secondary school then and was at SPCA doing some volunteer work. Many years have gone by since then. This time round, more tears flowed when I read the poem again.It is a poem which has touched me deeply and at the same time, has given me hope. I am very grateful to the author, whoever he/she is, for the poem has let me see the rainbow at the end of the endless tunnel.
I feel comforted in knowing that my dearest Domin is happy and healthy again. We may be apart for now but I know that there will come a day when we will be together again, when I can hold her close in my arms and kiss her little black nose - this brings a smile to my heart.
Death has separated us. But Love will re-unite us.
